Vic Marks noted that Harris has comprehensively outbowled Panesar so far in this Test, and that he's probably the more accomplished of the two on unhelpful pitches.

Harris' figures are extremely respectable for a finger spinner who almost invariably plies his trade on unhelpful wickets. His capacity to exploit more helpful conditions can be doubted, and you'd take Panesar over Harris every time for a tour of India, but Harris deserves more respect than he's typically given for what he offers the SA side at present.
