World XI - 1980 onwards - Wicketkeeper Poll

On to thr wicketkeepers now, and an area I am struggling to select a stand out candidate from. Remember the wicket keeper in this team doesn't have to bat any higher than 7 and can actually probably bat lower.

The choices are;

Dujon (West Indies)
Gilchrist (Australia)
Berry (Australia)
Healy (Australia)
Marsh (Australia)
Taylor (England)
Russell (England)
Knott (England)
Sangakara (Sri Lanka)

Does Sangakara belong there? He quit keeping because he couldnt manage both batting and keeping together.

I've voted for Sangakarra as he is undoubtedly the better batsman among all of the guys in the list and his keeping abilities have to be decent after keeping to Murali for quite sometime. I am assuming he would keep if he had to be in this team.!!!

I've gone for Dujon, Gilchrist, Healy and Sangakara- although if this needs trimming then perhaps Gilchrist, Healy and Sangakara should be the shortlist due to their having the greatest experience of 'keeping to quality spin.

And having Berry in the list is absurd.

I only went for Gilly, it was pretty much a no-brainer for me.

But I strongly suspect "The Phantom Ram" might be a relative, mate, girlfriend/partner or maybe even the big fella (Berry) himself.
It is the only loose reason I could see as to why he would get on the list with such exclusive company as Adam Gilchrist, Jeff Dujon, etc..

You are a Ram, and big Dazza spent a lot of his career bent over keeping to Warnie (at a domestic level).

Please dont blame me for asking the question...
