Harmison's second, thrid, fourth coming...

How many times are we going to see "real" Harmison coming back? To be honest if he was going to make as a true top class fast bowler it would of happened by now.
I feel this is more media hype than anything.

Why would it be media hype?
He isn't exactly loved by the media (especially the Southern sections). There is media excitement when he is bowling well as he is the one bowler we cant replace and we need him and Flintoff fit and firing to win the Ashes, despite what Boycs (or Rachael) thinks about it being won my medium paced swingers. In recent times both Flintoff and Harmison have been successful against Ponting, arguably the best player of fast bowling currently playing.
Players like Warne, Steve Waugh.... all say England will struggle to win the Ashes without these 2. The thought of England playing anymore tests with a bowling line up of Siders, Pattinson, Broad and Panesar as an attack makes me shudder.

Out of the 4 wicket taking penetrative bowlers who have come through since the 05 Ashes win (Plunkett, Anderson, Mahmood, Broad) only one, the constantly improving Jimmy Anderson, has actually come through as a bowler in test cricket. That's why it is important that Harmison, Flintoff and even Simon Jones stay fit. Jones is earmarked for a place sometime in the future, i'm certain of that. Atherton mentioned how important he was in a recent article, and the way he wrote it suggested he knows he will come back soon. An A tour and then selection for the tour of Windies seems likely - just like what happened 5 years ago? Let's hope so.
