Aggers is usually right about these things and he said that Bell would play, so I'm not worried. I'd be more worried about McGrath's fitness, as an Aussie that is, since they are now back to four bowlers with Watson missing out. Also means Warne's going to have to bowl 30-50 overs each innings I guess, and no Tait or Johnson for those bleating about supposed 100mph deliveries "ripping" through our batting.

Lee has played England 13 times has taken 42 wickets at 44.14 with an economy rate of 4...

http://statserver.cricket.org/guru?s...lds=viewty pe

His best bowling is 4/82, and he has never taken more than 5 wickets in both innings of a Test match against England

So I for one am not losing any sleep over Lee...

Surely the key point about playing down under is that once the ball softens... an attack of Johnson, Tait and Lee would struggle to make much impression on Giles and Read let alone at top order bat: the trick is surviving the seamers when the ball is new.... something Flintoff will NOT have to manage... and then surviving the second new ball... which is where we will get to see just how good Flintoff and Jones really are.

That said.. my own view remains that with the new ball.. the bounce and seam movement of McGrath and Clark will be more threatening than anything Lee can manage.
