According to the English bowling coach Harmison is still the number one quick in the world. HA HA.

Flintoff continues to carry the English side through another session. If Flintoff was still injured and no bowling it would be 1/500.

I can't see the English bowlers getting 20 Australian wickets in a test.

Well he is the only man on earth who thinks that then.

Watching Clarke trying to get on top of Giles - probably the best way for Clarke to hang onto a test spot if he takes Giles out of the attack. With the tests coming up where spin will play a major part, taking Giles out of the attack would surely put his name in front of Watson and Martin.

I would not be surprised with a declaration with an hour of play left today - try and blast out acouple of wickets at the end of the day - having the opening batsman tired after a day in the field.

Ponting out for 196, hard luck for his 200 - Hoggard gets the wicket.

Finally a wicket for a pace bowler other than Flintoff and no surprise it is Hoggard as he has easily been the best of the rest, not that that says much though.

Ponting deserved a double ton but like Yousuf in Multan surprisingly didn't get there.

So Gilchrist still can't play stuff from round the wicket.Good spell by Hoggard.

Gives us something to cling to for later in the series that the 3 out of the top 6 who who struggled in the last series all went cheaply again here.Despite the team score maybe we have opened some old wounds on Hayden,Martyn and Gilchrist.

The straw i am clutching is so big i can't lift it.
