Won't make any difference though - Australia have shown how to bowl, simple just bowl fast and straight.

Dead right Ern. Have you had a re-thought on the Panesar issue yet? I know I'm massively biased but don't you think I had a point on this one?

First Clarke rings the changes getting rid of Bell, yet another English batsman with poor shot selection, the ball was not there for the drive.

No Panesar is one for the future, but when Trescothick went home - Giles was the man for his batting.

In this match even had we left Giles out - bowling wise it would not have mattered, even Warne has not influenced the game.
Panesar would have made no difference IMO - one way or the other -sorry .

Good job Ponting dropped Giles or this would be an even bigger embarrassment.Bell the lone batsman standing up,a bit like KP at Lords 2005.

I guess the main objective now is to try and make the game last as long as possible and make the Aussie pacemen bowl as much as we can just in case fatigue becomes a factor later in the series.

OK Ern.

On the entire forum you consistently talk the most sense and best me on almost every issue so I really respect your opinion but i won't give this bone up just yet. I really think we gave them a massively poor message when we dropped my boy Monty but thats for after the game. On that issue we are clearly miles apart so I guess we will just have to write it off to experience.

One thing I would like to ask you is at 4AM, you up north and me down south, why do we keep subjected ourselves to these poor performances? Just gluttons for punishment I guess!!

Clarke gets another wicket Hoggard - Australia might not enforce the follow on to give there bowlers a rest, but ponting would be better denying England bowling practice, and maybe Harmison getting into some form.

Harmison out for a duck - McGrath gets 5 wickets - Lords revisited, Harmisons batting mirrors his bowling.

I would,Hoggard was looking better at the end of the Aussie innings and even Harmison looked much better than he had previously. Why let them get more practice which might help England for Adelaide?

They could shove Warne on at one end and rotate the quicks at the other end to keep them fresh.

Giles gone - England all out for not many, no I don't think he will enforce follow on - given the signs.
