This battle between Warne and Pieterson is reminiscent of the Oval contest last year. After Tea, Pieterson has played three glorious on-drives to the long-on/wide long-on boundary off Warne. Dancing down the wicket and hitting against the spin. On the 6th ball of Warne's over Pietersen played a forward defensive back to Warne who fired it back to the keeper but it was so close to Pieterson's head that he had to play a hook shot to protect himself. He turned around and the close up showed him saying "**** off". Two great mates playing seriously out there. Not asking or giving any quarter.

Pietersen needs to check himself a little. He's starting to get overconfident. Staying in is what matters, not leathering his old mate Shane over midwicket for 6.

Collingwood & Pieterson building good partnership, England could win this if they stay out there....

More fun and games as the Aussies have a huge appeal turned down for caught behind. Usual looks of stark disbelief from Warne, which is a bit surprising as the replay shows hes about a second behind every one else with his shout. The worlds premier leg spinner has not covered him self in glory with his behaviour today; and before you ask orchid neither umpire said a word to him.

I'm Sorry? Suggest you get down the bookis if you really think that as you'll get 500/1.

The Aussies will still win but at least this suggest we may get a more even contest in Adelaide, and gives us beleaugered poms something to cheer about at half 5 in the morning!!

Its clearly Erns fault, as soon as he stops watching, we start playing.

He wasn't even watching, he was just listening! Imagine the havoc Ern could create if he was actually watching..!

I do think its interesting though just before Ern left, Cookie-muncher got munched, but since then, its been all calm in the wickets column - so nothing to report to Ern or 'log' in here in terms of the timings of the dismissals!

But he is generally like that - petulant and keen to get his own way. That's why the Aussies don't like Aleem Dar - he sometimes seems to be only umpire who is prepared to stand up to their bullying!
