Hopefully he can make that into a big hundred or even a double century.

Yes I agree CC - he really is a nice man also - would be handy for England also.

This wicket will dry out today and will subsequently get faster, keep lower, and then start cracking up by day 4. If England can bat out the day and/or get to 500, they will win the test.
They wont need Panasar, the ball will reverse swing due to the dry conditions and the English seamers should be able to do the job and might not even need to use Giles.

KP just took McGrath apart in the last over.

Anyone else feel Deja Vu?

Let me expand on that.

McGrath not firing, half fit. 4 bowlers, 2 of them over 35. England batting well....... Ponting isn't good under pressure as a Captain.

The psychological effect cannot be underestimated. Once bitten..... if England can put on some runs and make McGrath and Warne look ordinary it will filter through to their batsmen.

Talentwise I think Aus and Eng are evenly matched because of the age of the Aus side. If it was equal ages, Aus win but thats not the case anymore. Its a mental battle now......

Fascinating cricket

Hurrah for the weekend and no need to be in bed early !

Aye, well played KP.

He has a job to do here - demoralise Warne and just show the Aussies how good he is. He's not the real deal yet but in the next 3 years, KP will be the worlds best bat. He has the talent he just needs to learn some patience. I hope he learns it this series.

Also Colly has been fantastic this morning. Solid, compact, uncomplicated. Tough as nails. Well played mate.

Well played England Bell, Collingwood and Pieterson

I am an Aussie fan but we are witnessing the decline of 2 former great bowlers, who are now showing human weakness.
Father time has caught up.

Sadly Acker you are right. Two of the all time greats but they are no longer capable of doing the same things that they used to.KP has treated McGrath with total contempt and the way he has bowled he is right to.

I am delighted both Colly and KP have got their hundreds,we need to push on after lunch and get as close to 500 as we can as the pitch is already showing uneven bounce and will only get worse.

Yes Warne is bowling like Giles - defensive , doing a job though.

I think we might see Tait in the next match.
