Collingwood and KP are doing a fine job for England at the moment. One can only hope that they continue to do so and do not throw away their wickets. Anything below 700 is should not be acceptable to England from here on. On this pitch Hayden, Langer, Ponting, Clarke and Gilly would be very handy as well.

The Australian reliance on McGrath and Warne is very clear in this match so far. If the two do not take wickets, other bowlers find it hard to do so.

Collingwood gone - I have seen some great England innings (including Bothams) but this could turn the series.

I knew he was gritty - but this was special.

Good score by England, won't lose the game for here I doubt.

England 468/4.. let me repeat 468!!!

Collingwood just caught behind of stuart clarke for 206!!! what an innings... what a player

KP nearing 150 as well... they have both bashed the aussies to every part of the ground.

England needs to declare now they are in a very good position here.

Good to see the whole crowd and the whole Aussie team giving Collingwood a standing ovation!!!

468 - 4 - well I would bat until close of play - and if enough decent wickets left, until lunch tomorrow.

England dont want to be chasing a score of 180 -200 on day 5, England would do well to do what Ponting did at the Gabba if they can-grind their spirits away.

Personally I would get them in tonight, show a bit of positivity. We're 1 down and its up to us to make the running. If we could get Ponting in and out tonight that would be magnificent. His brain must be a bit frazzled

In 2003-04 Australia scored 556 against India on this ground and still lost.

I do not believe England are safe yet. Imagine how the strong Aussie line-up will bat and score on this pitch. In my opinion, England can be safe only with a score of above 650.

As I write this KP is run out thus opening the tail up. As I have said, this Aussie bowling attack needs ony one breakthrough to make difference.

I would still back Australia to bounce back solidly in this test match, and perhaps win it. Remember if England are all out say for 525, Australia can then score more than 700 on this pitch leaving England a day to save the match.....

A bit stupid from Kp, he was asking for it taking so many risky singles.

A few runs from Flintoff wouldn't go amiss.

Oh well the collapse has started.

Seriously though it may help England to be bowled out tonight so they can try and get a couple of early wickets before the close and really ram home the advantage. Those tired Aussie limbs aren't going to like coming out for half an hour or so tonight.
