Boony and Merv are either to chummy with some of thier ex teamates in the side notably Warnie, Pidgeon, Marto, and Haydo or alternatively to drunk to notice.

On a positive English note Hoggard has done gritty job today exeptionally well, the type of job sometimes after match statistics dont allways reflect.

Bit of luck for Hoggy there getting Hussey out.He was out earlier but take nothing away from him it was a cracking knock.

Gilchrist in now.Freddie back on and around the wicket?

Another wicket or two tonight and it will have been a good day for England.

Well there go's the TV coverage and Hussey nothing stands in the way of the sunday night national 9 news, not even Bill Lawry's ultra dramatic description that made me think while I was cooking the Spag Bol for tea/dinner that Ponting, Hussey and Clarke were out there diffusing hand grenades and land mines rather than cricket balls.
IMHO Langer and Hussey were both the victims of balls that did a little bit more than usual (uneven bounce).
Congrats Hoggard..

3-4 years ago Gilchrist - Warne - Lee was still a formidable batting trio.
Like things with the rest of the Australian team our current selectors are still presuming they will suddenly re capture 4 year old form.

Damn coverage gone here as well.... well there is still th old text score following thing lol

Will Australia bat till lunch tommorow, the way England is bowling with a new ball it doesnt seem likely

Excellent innings by Ponting and Hussey..close call for him i thought he was gone!

4 wickets for Hoggard excellent swing bowling!!!

The morning session tomorrow is huge for England as if they can bowl Australia out close to lunch or just after then they will still have a good chance of winning.Setting a target of 320-330 will be extremely challenging on the last day if the pitch deteriorates like they said it should on day 4 and 5.

The draw is certainly the most likely result but England still have a glimmer of hope.

Can you predict 500-5 as tomorrows lunch score and see if you can do the trick again.

This pitch is not making for great cricket.

The match will probably drift towards a draw tomorrow but England have done enough to give themselves a glimmer of hope. Need to knock them over pretty quickly tomorrow.

Giles' drop proved to be very costly indeed.

Great effort from Hoggard in conditions offering nothing. He's proving that he can take wickets anywhere in the world.

Let us wait till Lunch time tomorrow to find out. I would not rule out that possibility. Clarke is desperate to cement his place in the team and Gilly is desperate to put the stirng of low scores against England behind him. And this is a batting pitch. Until now, England bowlers have done a very good job though, I must admit.
