From what I have heard

Perth is playing dreadfully slow
Melbourne marginally better (probably the quickest and bounciest of the lot apart from Brisbane)
and
Sydney ridiculously slow without bounce like usual

Allmost sounds like curators were doctoring pitches to suit draws. Which maybe fine as long as Australia stays one up.
Really though thats not fine

Precisely - we have seen two strange pitches here but especially in Adelaide, everyone seems to accept that the pitch is useless. You can bet your bottom dollar that if Australia or England had to play on such pitches in India or Pakistan, they would be moaning and bitching to high heaven every day!

You do percieve us in the West as wicked Maranello .
No I for one would not moan about pitches, for a start I did not moan about the cracks in the pitch at the Gabba, because it was the same for both sides.

Had Harmison been in any sort of form, then England should have won that match bowling out of those cracks.

If Australia are one up, and preparing grounds for draws, would all countries do that I wonder?.

I on this occasion don't agree with acker, this pitch could produce a result - had butterfingers Giles taken the catch to get rid of Ponting, that could have doused the moral of the Australia team.
Just if's and buts - had God not handled that ball by proxy for Maradona, then the England soccer team could have won the World Cup twice - instead of once.

The way Gilchrist and Clarke are batting, a tea time score of 5/600 is on the cards!

LOL! Nothing could be further from the truth Ern and you know it! I was merely commenting on the double-standards and the bare-faced hypocrisy of some people.

In any case, Australia's not in the West...its Down Under

Not really, I don't remember England doing that. Also, if Australia are preparing pitches for draws, it does show a very negative mindset, doesn't it?

I think I am going back to the 'cold war' days when anyone against the USSR was considered to be West.

I am not so sure that England pitches were not fixed to try and negate the pace of the West Indies, I think that came back to haunt them.
