| At last: Russell's input paying off - and well done Geraint! Well.. on a day when Mr "too slow" Hoggard made exemplary use of the 1st and 2nd new balls (winning commendation from all and sundry, including Boycott, and outbowling all three of his faster colleagues*)... we also saw signs that England have finally started waking up tactically: Quote:

* With Stuart Clark being the most impressive of the Aussie bowlers to date... the nonsense about needing pace on flat wickets has surely been shown up as what it is - bunk! |

But Harmison bowled well and with more luck could have had wickets and Flintoff was the same, so there is no reason to say that Pace doesn't get wickets!! |

| England have a real problem with Harmison. He is meant to be a strike bowler, he comes onto bowl in the fifteenith over. So when the next spell starts the ball is already thirty overs old. The whole bowling attack has to work round how will Harmison bowl? This has been a big advantage to Australia and might be quiet telling at the end of the series.
