Gilchrist and Clarke are batting very well at the moment and do not appear to be any trouble. As we know Gilchrist can and usually does score at a tremendous rate. At this stage it looks like Australia is well and truly on way to overtaking England's score of 551.....

Listening an interesting move has been mooted, should Australia go for a win and declare some runs behind?

Andersen bowling - I bet Flinoff is wishing he had gone for Mahmood, just the right situation for a player like him.

LOL Andersen gets an edge that Bell nearly caught [again] this morning.

Ponting is way too much of a defensive captain to do this, even if they were 1 down it would not happen.

Rush of blood form Gilchrist but credit to Giles for sticking to his guns. Warne a bit of a slow starter so cant afford to let him get in.

Yep Giles has cemented his place for the next two years .

The wicket was deserved - the edge has been found quite a lot this session.

Clarke is really playing well. If they pick Watson who will miss out? Damo or Hayden?
