Not the best from Fred I agree but he has a mountainous workload this series. It is not reasonable to expect to be 100% on 100% of the time. Time for Jones and Giles to justify themselves. I reckon 40 overs from safety.

If you look at my comments on day 2, I said that England should not declare before 700. The thing with this Australian team is that the opponents have to take the match beyond the Australians from all possible angles. There is absolutely no room for complacency.

A little bit of opening and the Aussies will strike to destroy, as is happening in Adelaide right now. The condition of the pitch does not matter.

The person I feel sorry for is Hoggard. I'll bet he can't believe it!! Not content with making him bowl all day yesterday hes going to hve to bat for most of today aswell.

Flintoff bowled 4 overs yesterday. Unless his injury is troubling him he should be physically fine, especially after a good nights sleep.

England aren't scoring runs now, they need to keep the scoreboard ticking over as well as batting out the overs. Every run they get is one the Aussies have to knock off too.

I think extras are outscoring runs from the bat, at this stage runs are the only hope for England.
Warne has bowled well - but no more than that, England could score more singles off him.

Yes it's back working again, mercifully.

Not sure I could just listen to this on the radio, too tense.

Lunch now. If England can bat till tea it's over.

Yep England clock watching - if England had scored another 50 runs - and that still would have been slow, England would have been OK.
