Should be a bore draw as the pitch is still very good for batting but you never know if Warne will bowl a magic spell. It has to be him as McGrath looks incapable at the moment due to fitness.

From an England point of view we need one of the overnight batsmen to go on and get a hundred,Strauss to get some form or Bell to just silence the convicts about his ability once and for all.

This day to me, looks more like who will suffer the most mentally.

1. If England lose wickets consistantly through the day and struggle to score runs - Australia will go into the next test with a renewed confidence that Englands batting is still suspect.

2. If England score runs and don't lose wickets, this will give England renewed confidence in there batting. To go even further, if they did score the runs I would be tempted to send Australia into bat with an hour or so to go and see if Hoggard can't blast Australia's top order out and have a totally mental victory over Australia.

What is wrong with McGrath's fitness he has a blister. I would be worried about Flintoffs fitness if I was an English supporter. It will be the end of the series for England if Flintoff is out because he is carrying the team.

Fletcher has said that Flintoff has a sore heel with bowling so much after being out for so long, it seems Flintoff did not even have to for a scan.

Don't forget these two first Tests have been back to back.

I think you wrie players like McGrath off at your peril. He clearly wasn't right for this game; we'll see how he scrubs up in Perth next week

Strauss adjudged caught at bat pad off Warne. TV suggests he was a bit hard done by, shouldn't be too costly.

Dont know how early the call came but Bell was ball watching. Bit of a shame as he was looking pretty good. No wobbles.....yet!
