Also of note is Mahmood's CONTINUED good form with the bat - give him a decent pitch to bowl on, and England have a budding all- rounder.

| If Fletcher goes on his current form (balls about batting depth) then Mahmood should be picked ahead of Harmison simply because his bowling can't be much worse (although soimetimes it is) and his batting's better. After all, Fletcher needs bowlers who can bat better than they bowl, or so he seems to want. Ditto with wicketkeepers. Wicketkeeping ability is not a essential requirement, so why should bowling be? ![]()
