Agreed, they both played the situation correctly but it was easier for Hussey because Warne and Lee are much better players than Hoggard, Harmison etc.

Kp could have gone around and dripped the occasional run here and there but eventually England would have been out anyway. The 20 odd runs he managed to slog before getting out is probably more than they would have gotten if he'd just tipped a single every over.

You have to love Harmison's jammy edges for 4.

Ok, is wanting to see another 51 runs scored and Monty not out on 27 and the scores tied is asking for too much?

I'm still holding out for that Monty 50.

Monty actually looks like a better batsman than I gave him credit for. I was under the impression he was a complete rabbit but he doesn't look that bad.

Certainly another few years of coaching, hard work and International cricket could make him reasonable enough.

Well England have gotten to 200, that was my target for them. Even if bowled out now they are at least in with a chance.

Any more they feel like adding would be good of course.

Yep, England are not out of this test - there is three full days and the rest of today to play for.

I think the only thing you can say is this test will have a result - that result atthe moment is open.

Well Appalling batting by Collingwood, Bell, Cook, Flintoff

I dont know what they were thinking, Strauss was totally wronged... that was not out again!!! i seriously think this is not on, twice he has been given out when he is not at crucial stages of a test match.

Kp battled hard and has gotten England to around 200, Harmison and Hoggard have contributed as well

Even Panesar is battling out there.

If England can bowl as well as they did in the first innings they will have a last chance to go for it. I do still think England will win this one, they are fighting hard someones got to give.

The tail wagging has given England a slim chance but it highlights how badly the top order batted with Strauss and Pietersen being the exceptions. These runs from Monty and Harmi are vital in a lowscoring game and could make for an interesting finish.

What a shot from Monty! Ricky Ponting would have been happy with an on drive like that.
