The wicket seems to be settling down to me, i don't think England are bowling any worse. If you watched McGrath and Clarke, the ball (even as it got older) was moving off the seam quite regularly with occasional variable bounce. Now, the bounce is dead consistant with absolutely no lateral movement and the only joy for the bowlers i can notice is Panasar getting a few puffs of dust off the wicket. He is spinning the ball far more than the first innings too. Even Petersen is getting some good turn and kick.

Enter spin as the decisive factor for the remainder of the test i think.

Yes Seamer the wicket seems to be spinning, so in theory England could get Australia out for below 350 then go for it in the 2 days left.. what do they have to lose?

Hoggard could be the key tomorrow. He has managed to swing the ball a fair bit during the match. Panesar and Pietersen look good and just need to dry up the runs at one end to pile the pressure on Australia like they did to England on day five at Adelaide.

Not Out Of It Yet

We can still win it with some application with bat and ball in the morning. Monty can bat a bit, where did giles bat when he made his debut ? I think it was about no 9 and he has got better so there is time for Monty to get better, why is Jones playing ?his batting has gone completely and near droped that catch he to fumble around for yesterday

The talk is that the pitch can produce low scoring first innings results and then produce big second innings. If this is the case, then I think Australia will need to win more than just the first session.

Australia chased down over 300 against India on this pitch and South Africa batted for a long time to get the draw against Australia - So there is still alot to go in this test.

I think mentally England are already beaten so as long as Australia don't blow it they will win.

But even in the worst case scenario, aus would be able to put up a sizeable target well in excess of 300 for england.Panesar picked up 5 wickets, not all of which were bowler earned on Day 1.Monty was the surprise package and it clicked in first innings. Not entirely sure if it would click on the 3rd day as well.eng think tank made the wrong move by not including monty in 2nd test but in the third test.A similar 5 wicket haul in Adelaide would have put england back in the series.

punter is all set for another century.when it comes to england chasing a target well in excess of 300, onus would be on pieterson and colllingwood.biggest challenge for england would be to tackle warne again in the 4th innings.

In yesterday's play, dont know if it were pieterson's own intentions, but,he threw away a very good opportunity to nullify the lead which england conceded.Trust me,there have been much much worser number 10 and number 11 batsmen than Panesar and harmisson
