| Evenly balenced at the moment, the question is can England stay with Australia once the Australian engines start running, England will have to make 450 to win because Warne on a fifth day pitch against a side that cant really play legspin that will worry England. Well bowled by Panesar and Harmison, good to see Harmy get in to some form because it will make the series much more interesting. The WACA is suited to bowlers like Harmison and Clark so they will be very important bowlers in this test.

| The first session will be crucial for both sides, if England lose wickets the pressure will be on them and Australia could be in the driving seat because England do have a long tail. I doubt Collingwood will last long, as he was looking very unconformtable against the bounce and pace the Australian bowlers were getting, his footwork was appauling. He is a very good batsman in slow pitches with low bounce, like the ones found in Asia where he has flourished. I hope he proves me wrong though, he has to just put his head down and fight for runs as he has done successfully in the past. Lee will be on fire today i think, he is getting more from this picth than any other picth we have seen all tour. If it helped Harmison it should be helpful to Lee. Warne will still be a threat. The pitch is not much of a turner but it is generated alot of bounce and that will make him very dangerous. I hope English batsmen come out and play positivily against Warne, this is when they have been most successful against him, If they look to block him out of the attack like they did in the 4th innings of the last test, England will be lucky to survive this day, because Warne will bowl them out.

England must bat once and bat big. They simply cannot afford to bat last on this pitch against Warne, apart from KP and Collingwood, none of the other English batsmen look good enough to last 3 sessions against Warne so the most logical plan for England would be to bat as long as they can and make sure they atleast get a lead of 250.

| I think you have Colly's number on this pitch CC. He never looked comfortable. This is the big partnership for England, I don't have a huge lot of faith in what's to come afterwards. Strauss looks very watchful, I think he's due a big score, hopefully today. |
