On a fast bouncy wicket, i would have have thought S.A would be far better equiped to exceed India's total. Well bowled India but they were helped by some fairly ordinary shot selection by the S.A batsmen.

Yeah....one good session in the morning. On this pitch, I have been told, no team has ever successfully chased any total above 300.

Welcome back Doink shaab!

India are in a winning position in this test match-who would have thought? India's bowlers really have shown us Indian fans something to be proud of- getting a side out for less than a hundred on their own home turf!

Hopefully India will win this Test match by tommorow. Some praise should diffinatly go to Ganguly, who has batted very well under the enormous amount of pressure.

Here here! This one has gone for us. We had no answer to the Indian quicks. We will have to come back fighting in the next Test it will probably be a more exciting series than the one sided Ashes.

Well I would have never thought there would be a day when somebody would praise the Indian quicks, sometimes a praise for one of our quicks is great news but to see that all our quicks have played well together is as big a news as Gilchrist hundred today.

I wonder how South Africa would have played if India had Munaf Patel bowling for them instead of sitting of him sitting at home injured.

I am hoping Pathan comes back into the side, these conditions are ideal for him. I hope some help fom Wasim Akram will do him some good, he seriously needs to get his action sorted out, it looks terrible and it is the fault of Greg Chappel that it has not been rectified. Hopefully he will comes back as the Pathan of old who promised alot.

Hi CC! Yes, even I think Pathan should be back. Will be interesting to see how VRV makes his presence count...Agree with John, this series will be a tighter contest than the Ashes, but then the Ashes have more intensity, me thinks! Ganguly-Laxman look to be in good touch...I mean they werent doing so well in the Ranjis...maybe the quality of the opposition makes these guys to raise their game...
