Michael Atherton : is no different from the 80 year old spectator at Lords wearing a suit and Hat.Only difference is he gets paid for what he speaks.Have good respect for artherton.Artherton-Donald rivalry is something unspoken. He did win his battles too

Holding is yeah decent and has good sense of humor.

Reminds of tony cozier too , but, he is toooooooo caribbean. Not that he supports someone ,but, for even the smallest of the thing, he picks up a corresponding stat from the caribbean.Good .Nice knowledge transfer, but, sometimes sounds cliched

"That's out, that's gotta be out, a blind man would give that out". Man..That was hilarious.Boycott is Jack da ripper. He was very famous in India coz of the fashion in which he attracts masses with his funny statements.Even my gradmom would have caught it

Ya and that has now become kind of a thumb rule in India too. Sensationalizing a given event.Coz i guess it was third test match at perth . end of first day and ENG were 51/2 having dismissed AUS for 240 odd. Agnew was like ENG should eye for a lead of something in excess of 150.Agreed .that should be the plan. But,it needs to be done in stages.Reach there first. Nullify it and then look in for a lead

Yeah India was like that, from reading the English language newspapers in India when I was there on holiday. (Have no idea what the other language papers said) but they absolutely SAVAGED the team when they played South Africa in the recent ODI series.

Boycott is one funny commentator, It's so hard to please the man in terms of England's performance...

In regards to Atherton, his voice relaxes me so much, and if you put him in a commentary box with Holding I could listen to them to go to sleep!

Even the other language newspapers are pretty much the same. Pump up the volume when the team is doing well and abject criticism when they arent. Get the reader's attention.Thats it.

However, there are a few respected columnists who talk sense

Boycott was equally instrumental along with the cricket show producers to get the best&worst out of Sidhu and his Sidhuisms. Youtube has some good videos. By the way, what happened to henry blofeld ? Is he still with TMS for BBC

Blofeld is indeed still around, for TMS.

Boycott should've joined Sky Sports, I missed his wit and wisdom after Channel 4 lost the rights to Sky.

Good to hear that. I remember those sharjhah days and HERO CUP days where he used to go ga-ga over earrings.Infact,he was so famous, back then, one of the indian ear ring manufacturers launched a brand named HB after him.
