Yes gibbs_fan, thats right and I could never understand why the selectors keep dropping every now and then.

Well, Kumble is gone trying to play a very irresponsible shot. Indians are giving away the wickets here. Zaheer Khan is not a mug with the bat. Lets see if he can hang in there with Laxman.

Kumble out as Morkel gets his 2nd. If bad light doesnt intervene India might be in trouble...

Bounce did Zaheer Khan and all the playes accompanied him in the walk back as umpires decide to take lunch. Will India cross 200? I doubt.

why is Ntini not bowling. Why does Smith continue to bowl Nel when clearly Ntini is the best option. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that after every break, Nel always comes on to bowl. Perhaps Smith and Nel are match fixing . Smith really is a pathetic captain. Now Hall is on. Maybe Smith is first waiting for the lead to be smaller before he decides to bowl Pollock and Ntini.

I agree with you gibbs_fan. Even I am not so sure of Smith's abilities and intentions.

The match is getting interesting. It can go either way from here. I wonder if there will be any spin on the 4th and 5th day.

Sreesanth is now smacking the bowling around. I guess Smith is waiting for the new ball before he brings Ntini back. He will probably bring Nel back. Surely Pollock must be brought back. Smith is an idiot because the lead may be brought down to 70 by the time the new ball arrives.

DomainK, what ever happened to Nehra. Is he injured or how is he performing in India. I liked that guy

Pollock finally comes back and raps up the innings immediately. India 240 all out. I feel that India are still in this game. SA batman need to work hard now. They cannot rely on Prince yet again. I would like to see Amla or De Villiers get a half century here. I am not counting on Smith.

SA allowed the tail to get too many runs, it might just cost SA the game. Also I hope that if the light is offered later, that SA continue to bat because SA are 1-0 down. Its no use drawing this match, we must play for a win.

I feel that India are still in this game.

India are still in the game thanks to the recurring bad light which can act as the only saviour for India.
With a lead of 152 and 10 wickets in hand SA are far from losing this match.
Bad light would play a crucial role in the last 2 days.
n the first 3 days 73,56 and 60 overs were bowled respectively.
SA and India were bowld out in 91 and 78 overs respectively.
SA maybe looking to set a target in the vicinity of 350 for India.200 more and they may take in 1.5-2 sessions for that.45-60 overs.
Actually SA can declare for a target of 300 given the track record of bad light in this test match and have enough time to bowl out India.
Not sure if smith would like to take the risk.If on day 4 all overs are bowled,India is good enough to reach 300 even in the 4th innings with the pitch getting eased up.
Assuming 73 overs would be bowled on day 4, matter of not losing crucial wickets in the first 10-20 overs. If bad light comes in , certainly India would take it.

Then it would come down to last day's play. With the pitch easing out, should come down to not playing stupid shots as sachin played yesterday.Definitely Smith should have the worries even though they are in such a commanding position. Crucial points :

1) Number of overs bad light would eat up
2) Rain on 5th day..guess predicted
3) Point of declaration

SA did a good job in bowling out India for 240 and amassing a good 88 run lead. Should be bad if match ends in a draw owing to Rain / Bad light.Having said that one dont need more than 2 sessions for great indian collapse

SAF need to make another 200 runs and quick, and then try to bowl out the Indians. But with so many overs being lost everyday, I think this match is heading towards a draw...

Well said :

SAF need to make another 200 runs and quick - Possible provided they dont lose quick wickets - 80-20 chance
try to bowl out the Indians - Possible.Dravid and Laxman are the key. Sehwag as someone rightly mentioned has been a walking wicket these days.Sachin does not have a great record in the 4th innings of a test match / last day.Dont expect him to score more than 20(sachin..prove me wrong..please)...Saurav Ganguly...well...short ball...short ball..short balll...Plan leaked all over the world since quite a while. Why the heck do you want to prove a point that you can play short ball.Dhoni-should be awarded a param vir chakra / congressional medal of honor for losing his wicket in a cricket match. No complaints as he has been the best WK batsman India has produced in the last 20 years
But with so many overs being lost everyday, I think this match is heading towards a draw - Should be this. Rain gods may play spoilsport with SAF yet again
