Harris drops a sitter.... Well, I haven't seen Andrew Hall on the pitch, but...

Oh dear, a real fielding ****-up there. Ball edged to first slip and doesn't carry. Slip tosses the ball to the unaware Boucher and the batsman run one....

But its called a dead ball?!?

Bizarre...

I missed that about Farhat....

From what Andy says, it does seem as if Harris is playing instead of Hall. It would make sense, to me....

In which city is Centurion Park located?

After that dropped catch, cricinfo have corrected their line-up....

They've put Harris in instead of Hall.

I see that Pakistan have included Asif. How do you guys feel about that controversial selection?

Yes it looks like Harris is playing but after that drop, perhaps I am wishing Hall played
Cricinfo must have got it wrong again. I wonder if Harris's name is on the scoreboard. I too prefer SA playing Harris over Hall. Centurion Park is situated in Pretoria.

Damn.... Poor old Andrew Hall. He's in and out of the team so much he must feel like he's doing the Hokey Cokey.

Not happy that Asif is in there tbh. If WADA's appeal fails then I say let the guy play, but I thought that they probably should have waited until after the appeal before letting either him or Shoaib back in.

Andre Nel bowling very well here. Really does deserve a wicket. Now, if he could just cut out the pointless glares after every delivery...

Well, I have always been a big fan of Asif. IMO I think he is the most talented fast bowler around. I was hugely disappointed when he was found to be using banned substances. I have no problem with him playing as I would like to see the best players representing their respective teams so that we get a fair contest.

I just hope that he was tested again before coming over and that he stopped using the illegal substances.

Pretoria, thanks guys!

What is the crowd like? Aside from Durban on the first day, and Cape Town on most days, I thought the crowd for the India Tests were very disappointing.

Personally, I'm disappointed that the PCB didn't uphold the ban against Asif and Akhtar, because I think that, like Warne, they should've served a one-year ban. I am waiting with bated breath to see what WADA rules, and when WADA will make their ruling. Has there been a reaction in South Africa to Asif's inclusion, or has it been muted?

Also, I like the sober discussion we're having on this thread about the issue. It can get so vicious on other boards!

Like I said earlier, there won't be a lot of people around at first because of it being the start of a new school year (in fact, all in-land scholls re-opened yesterday).

But the people in Titan-land love their cricket, and you will always see good crowds at Centurion. Even for domestic games. So I reckon from tomorrow through to Sunday you will see good crowds. And if the match is a humdinger by Monday, I have a feeling a lot of people may put in "sick leave"...

Bit of a shame that, Farhat had been playing fairly well, getting used to the conditions. Seemed that the boundary gave him a bit of a rush of blood and he got a bit carried away.

Harris looks woeful in the field - almost to comedic proportions. He almost fell over the ball a minute ago... Makes Monty Panesar look like Jonty Rhodes... Okay, not quite, but they are probably on a par.
