Demonstrable physical violence! Dear lord! As Wanderer says, Ntini was reported hit by Pakistani flag, but as he says too, it could have been unintentional, no footage, I'm afraid is to date available, but you could still, deem it "demonstrable physical violence"!

And yes, Wandered. I did mean expats.

The problem we at have at grounds like Centurion and Wanderers, is that the path the players take from the dressing room to the field, is quite narrow and long.

Remember a couple of years ago? The Merv Hughes incident? He went at a spectator with his bat (at Wanderers if I recall correct), after being dismissed and a spectator had a few choice words for him.

Okay, cricketers are open to a lot more abuse on the field. One, they play the whole day, and you can't get away. I mean, what do you do when you field at 3rd man. And as the day wears on, more "brown liquid" is consumed... And said brown liquid loosens the tongues more and more...

Like Rameez Raja and Daryll Cullinan said: Just keep your own mouth shut. The attention is on you as player, not on the spectators, no matter what they say. You are the professional, they pay to come and watch you play. Do that: Play.

I keep wondering, how do u get hurt if hit by a flag? Its just a piece of cloth, unless someone jumps out of the crowd and bangs the Mola Jat (the fat wooden shaft) on your head.

The thing is, Ntini is not the type that complains, so I think I can believe him when he said that. .
Well it was Ntini that totally got it wrong when he accused Warne of a racist comment last Australian summer, so i cannot agree. All he served to do by accusing Warne, is for South Africa to bring cricket into the headlines for the wrong reasons once again.
I wonder if the South African team hear "something" being said, not quite understand what was said, and just assume it was a racist comment due to their special sensitivity to racism.
That's my theory anyway.

Come on, folks - give a chap a break! I said above I didn't see it, but I thought I'd heard a report about an assault on Ntini. All I did was ask for confirmation of what I thought I heard in my waking moments! I'm happy to believe it was nothing much - in fact, I'd be delighted if that were shown to be the case.
