Scotland

Should Scotand be allowed to play against Test Match opposition, just like England do?

I voted yes because it seems unfair, Scotland always have a go at thier opposition

There is no way that Scotland are ready to enter the Test arena.
Zimbabwe shouldn't be there.
Bangladesh are doing good things in ODI's and have improved as a Test playing team, but are still comparitively weak.

The only way Scotland should be admitted is to introduce a two tier Test system, with teams such as Zimbabwe and Bangladesh in the lower tier. Even then, it's a fairly unworkable system.

Well if England can play why not Scotland. They would have done just about as good in Australia. But seriously the standard of world cricket is poor enough as it is why make it worse.

If Scotland became a Test nation they would join Bangladesh and Zimbabwe as a by-word for easy wins and not really seen as a proper fixture. I saw Warwickshire hammer Scotland at Edgbaston last season I think. If Warwickshire can beat them, most other teams can

I met the brother of Moneef Iqbal, the Durham and Scotland leg spinner/all-rounder, on the bus from Edinburgh to Dundee last year. He knows they're not ready for it, and as much as I like to see them do well in ODIs I can't say they're good enough for test cricket and may not be for a long time.
