Poor batting? The Guy came in when we were 132-4 with a potential collapse in the offing, batted very well to get us close to 350, and then gets out before he gets to his own personal milestone!! You are very harsh mate!

Yes.... The guy is just wickets off 200 Test victims, with the current injuries, we have no other bowler available with over 100 wickets, dropping Harmison at this stage would be ludicrous!! Knocking the guy after just one over.. again very very harsh mate!!

Which is the point I was making earlier - a case of trying too hard?

Apparently the WI have lodged a protest with the match referee regarding Harmison practicing on the pitch.

He should not have been bowling and was allowed to.

The rest of his innings (and I saw it all yesterday) was superb. However, when batting with a number ten why would you be letting them face five out of six balls? Surely you would want the chance to score a boundary from the loose ball that's likely to come your way? KP did the same during the winter and was criticised for it. A strange tactic.

No when Harmison has to bowl at just over 80MPH to try and bowl a decent line, his wayward bowling is getting the odd wicket.

This England bowling attack is worse then the Ashes attack in 2006/7.

Absolutely rubbish bowling by Harmison once again. His previous 190+ wickets mean nothing with respect to his current form. England have already bowled 29 extras (should have been more IMO but Billy seemed to disagree). WI were pathetic at times with the ball and only bowled 47 extras from 106 overs. England( i mean Harmison) has already bowled 29 in only 20 over . Harmison should be dropped. People criticise Mahmood and Anderson but I doubt if they will be as wayward as Harmison. I have never seen such inaccurate bowling even at club level. When England play India, can they afford a guy who is giving away at least 40 extras per innings, I doubt it.

Why is this even relevant Ern, Clearly with Flintoff back in the side it will be more or less the same. We know that Flintoff is injured, so England were forced to make the change. Its not as if they dropped him. Thus I find this comment meaningless.

Looks like the spraying it about method is working today then! I assume Sidebottom got hit for a few runs because (a) the batsman knew where the ball was going to be and (b) could actually reach it!!!

No, c) Sidebottom got hit for a few, because he is bowling too many poor balls, ie half volleys and short-wide deliveries.

Unfortunately the batsman cannot reach most of Plunkett and Harmisons deliveries.
Note: Most batsman knew a) where the ball was going to be and (b) could actually reach it!!!
for McGrath but he was never hit. I guess Harmison will always be a wicket taker but is his wickets worth all the runs he gives away. I suppose it is if Flintoff or Hoggard are keeping it tight at the other end but when he bowls with the likes of Plunkett and Anderson, it certainly aint worth it
