Pitch inspection at noon BST. Still plenty of cloud about, so we hear. Vic Marks is predicting a start at the latest just after lunch - but quite how he's managing that given the weather forecast is anyone's guess! (On the other hand, he is there and I am in Prague, where it's muggy and cloudy and there have been a few spits and spots of rain this morning. We'd be playing here though ...).

A further inspection at 1300 BST, with an early lunch being taken at 1230. Seems that the earliest start will now be after 1330 as there has still not been a toss or exchange of team sheets yet - contrary to what Cricinfo suggests by listing teams on its match scorecard page.

Whats with the weather in your neck of the woods Colly? Explain yourself sir

Seriously we should be underway soon. Should be good swinging conditions which will test the batsmans footwork, could be problems for Ganga imparticular.

Good grief - we wait a day and a half to see some play, then we see a wicket first ball!

No surprise that's it's Ganga I guess...

I thought he might struggle but to be fair he pretty much middled that one; a fraction unlucky IMO. It seems to be whooping around; slips warm your hands up!! Big test for West Indies batting.

Good start for England but whats happened to Siders, he started spraying it around now .
