I would say Harmison's fielding is average but today showed that he is capable of very good fielding. It's different when he is on the boundary but when he is fielding closer to the middle I get the feeling he thinks the batsmen should be running after the ball.

After all the wayward stuff by Harmison and Plunkett it makes a nice refreshing change to see Hoggard come in and have some control,21-7-42-2 is excellent stuff and just what we have been missing.

Just shows how vital he and Flintoff are to the bowling attack as when they are there it doesn't matter if Harmison gets a bit of tap.

Wonderful to hear Chanderpaul pick up his 100 when there was such a high possibility of running out of partners. Glad to hear Sidebottom get his five-for as well. Two chaps who both deserve the applause that goes with those achievements.

More to the point what would the Windies have done in the past 2 matches without Chanderpaul?? They will probably score 250-ish now and over 100 of those will have came from 1 player.

From Englands point of view Mr Extras has had a poor contribution this innings.

Personally, I feel Chanderpaul should be dropped.

It is obvious that his runs are not enough.

His presence in the changing room is causing the other players to not perform as they are intimidated by him.

He's batting for himself and not the team!!!

New ball

What is the story here? New ball available, Harmison to bowl it and Collymore to face it - and they don't take it! Is there some rule that I don't know about which requires the ECB to pay for it if it's used? If so, can someone please bung them a few quid?

Can the Windies make 300??

I think that unless England collapse, then this will more than likely be a draw now.

No - I think the West Indies should build a team around him, with Sarwan of course.

I think England delayed taking the new ball OF and p_c because Vaughan wanted Harmison to get into the right line before he took it, that's the only reason I can think of.

It's made no difference thus far in any case.
