Why... we can't lose the series? I don't see us losing this match, if we can get past their 1st innings score, I can still see us winning this one, and we are half way there?

I love the English, as soon as things look slightly bad, it is the end of the world!!

The only way West indies will win this game is if they have a first innings lead of around 70 and then get skittled out as otherwise they will leave the declaration too late to be able to win the game.

Good to see some fight from West Indies though, better late than never.

Bell out straight after drinks.

165-6 now and a chance to see what Prior is made of under pressure.

In his overnight column, Jonathan Agnew suggested that England could win if they declared on something around the West Indies' first innings score. Somehow I don't think they will get anywhere close to that. Draw has to be the most likely result, but at the moment there is still plenty of chance for a WI first innings lead and a win.

Sorry - it's the mentality! I don't want us to lose a match as we're perfectly capable of beating this side, and should have - without weather problems - won 4 - 0.

I know, and it's wrong, we need to be more positive as a nation. We now have a healthy lead, this is exactly what the Aussies would have done, not been put off by early wickets, backed themselves to get the runs and played positively.

How often through the 80's and 90's did we have them on the ropes, and then Waugh, Healy, Warne or Gilchrist would play them into a winning position. This for me is why the Australians are so good, and it is the way we need to play..

Well done Collingwood and Prior, that partnership has changed the game completely and England could now win after somehow reaching 400.A lead of 113 will be tough to peg back as the West Indies players look gone mentally, all on Chanderpaul and Bravo again the only 2 to show heart this summer.

The early wickets were so predictable,Hoggard has removed Smith and Ganga and Windies are 15-2.

After all the poor days of cricket they have had this summer this must count as the most shambolic. Why does Ganga get picked as he averages 26 after 45 games which shows he clearly isn't good enough.

Also why is Chanderpaul not in at 4?

Darren Ganga is probably the worst opener in WI history. I never thought much of him and his current run (or lack of it) proves it. He does not look good enough to play in a decent First Class side, let alone captaining an international Test team.

At the risk of sounding like a stuck record, there is nothing behind him signalling that they can do any better.

And as he fails at this level, he goes back to domestic cricket and beats up the crap served there.

Maybe he is the West Indian Ramprakash!!

Domestic Season Averages
2007 598@85
2006 563@51
2005 610@40

So all I am saying is if there are a number of Aussies, Englishmen, disgruntled Saffers or players from the sub-continent who are unable to see national selection anytime soon, if they can wait the 4 year qualification period after miraculously finding a Jamaican grandmother then you will be able to have a 10 year Test career and all the white rum you can drink!!!

Ask Shiv.

In fact, I know the answer. A lot of these guys like Gayle, Morton and Samuels (although he's batting lower in this game) talk a good game.

If they could convert self belief in their talent to actual run delivery, people would be saying Bradman who??

Under Lara they begged to be given higher spots, he obliged and he and Shiv/Sarwan would have to rescue again and again.
