And Cook's just got away with an lbw appeal that was more out than KP's. Pietersen was hit on the inner thigh pad, a pretty poor decision.

Huh???
KP was clearly out. That ball would have taken middle. It does not matter where it hit him. As long as he never hit it and it was going on to hit the stumps. Cook should have been out as well.

Anyway, good toss to win for India. India are clearly on top and England now need a partnership. IMO India will also struggle against the England seamer in these conditions but if it remains sunny tomorrow, batting could become easier

And you're going to disagree with Hawkeye? When a ball hits the batsman above the pad (indeed for a man as tall as KP, above the roll) there is sufficient doubt. The ball was going to miss the middle stump, not by much but by then there should be lots of doubt in the umpire's mind.

Could be NE that the LBW against Pietersen was umpires atoning for the mistake with the decission with Cook.

Strauss and Vaughan in their usual form, when will we see some significent change in the England bating?.

Seems England rely on Pietersen, like they used to do on Flintoff, ay least Pietersen can't be bowled into the ground.

KP's was first and Cook's was at the other end.

The pitch looks to be playing better now, it's not doing quite as much as it was earlier.

I think is time to being in the spinners now. Kumble might get some wickets.

Cook out lbw to Ganguly. However, Cook was well down the track and the ball hit him high and hawkeye suggested it would miss comfortably. Looks like luck evened itself outr for Cooky. Wonder who will get the luck to balance out KP's as these often even themselves out.
