Go to TIMESNOW.tv - Latest Breaking News, Big News Stories, News Videos - and go to the sports section and there is a video that clearly shows a sweet being thrown at Zaheer from the slips. The evidence seems to me to be undisputable and the England management should take a proactive stance, find out who it was and ban the player concerned for the next test. I have no problem with a bit of sledging, and as for Sreesanth getting upset about being called Harry Potter wait till he plays the Aussies later this year; the players and especially the crowds will be waiting for him I dare say!! But throwing things at the batsman is clearly over the line and as I said above action should be swift and severe; no warnings or fines, only a ban will do IMO. I think we all agree both sides are not blameless (the disgraceful claimed catch by Dhoni at Lords and Sreesanth running through the crease being the worse transgressions by the Indians, I'm giving Ganguly the benefit of the doubt about his reaction to his dismissal because it was a shocker, mind you he was happy to take the umpires decision when he was plumb before he got to 10!! But much as I don't like saying it, the fact is it is England who with this stupid and unacceptable incident have managed to grab the low moral ground. Its such a shame because the cricket in both games has been absorbing; a shame also we only get 3 tests.

Blame the Indian Board for that, they demand all these one day matches! It might be important to take the International Cricket Jamboree all around India, being such a vast country, so that each region gets to see them but it's not necessary over here.

I quite agree. Can we cancel four of the ODI's and play a Test instead?

I can see how this has happened. Whenyou get to the times now page, click news videos, then sport then KP-Zaheer face off and you will see a longer vid where it clearly shows the sweets being thrown.

| Aha, fair enough. Maybe some were thrown afterwards then.

"I did not say Fredalo". Wrong. "Jelly beans were not thrown." Wrong. The man does not know what he is saying and does not know what his team is doing. He is not fit to stand before the press, and as this is now a fundamental part of the captain's job, he is not qualified for it. Pity, because he's not a bad cricketer.

Are we really getting all excited about a few sweets? This has been blown up all out of proportion and really suits the Indians down to the ground. The guy who bowls bouncers from two yards over the crease is more of a danger than the guy who throws a few jelly beans! This is pathetic.

Where is your sense of adventure NE? Haven't you heard of the term "throwing down the gauntlet?". These days, gauntlets are not easy to come by and so maybe they settled for jellibeans instead.
