OK, I agree that Dravid is a great batsman no doubt; he has saved India with the bat on many ocasions, notably that 270 in Australia - one of the best innings ever. But no matter how you look at it, Dravid is not a good captain. Moreover, I think the burden of captaincy is affecting his batting - which is vital to India.

But my anger towards his decision in this particular match is fully is justified. You cannot deny that India had this Test in their pocket and in all probability would have had their first innings victory on English soil had the follow-on been enforced and the bowlers had attacked. I was all ready for that big event, only to see India come out to bat in the second innings and lose their way and the victory with it.

Incidentally, like Dravid I am from Bangalore.

Congrats India, we manage to lose at our supposed best dicipline. The ODIs could be painful. 7 to play; be surprised if we win 2.

Zaheer Kahn, Dhone and Kumble the winning stars for them. The first series loss at home for 6 years.

Never mind boys, look forward to SL and NZ.

Er, have you any reason to believe that those 'away' series for England are going to be any less painful?

The fact we might have our bowlers back is a reason for optimism,it may well be misplaced but don't kick a man while he is down.

Sri Lanka will be very tough, as always, and we'll be lucky to escape with a drawn series.

The New Zealand tour may be close. England have the bowlers to succeed out there. New Zealand, Bond aside, haven't got a great bowling line up at present and their batting is probably less potent than ours. I'd take us to win out there, maybe 2-0.
