But I thought you might want to know this. Shortly before close of play today, I was listening to the commentary Radio 4 driving home from Calne to Wootton Bassett, a journey of 13-14 minutes. During that time, the commentators mentioned Tendulkar's dropped catch no less than 9 separate times and Gooch went on about how this could cost England the match, series, the crown and God knows what else. But neither of the 2 dodgy dismissals was mentioned even once.
Yes Nostromo. This is typical English behavior whether they want to admit it or not. Always excuses. Always looking for someone to blame. But I guess all people are like this just the English have more to complain about

Hmm NE - I thought I was saying just that in answer to greg's mention of half volleys.

Even the best drop sitters, so let's not read much into a single, isolated incident. A dropped sitter is only a concern if it comes as no surprise...

So the only legitimate wickets were from Anderson. Sidebottom was very unlucky to have his potential wicket dropped by 'cement feet' Prior.
The plan to Jaffer was to bowl wide and KP was in position. When the wicket went KP ran to Vaughan to congratulate him and not Anderson.

Ganguly looked good before he was robed of his wicket, England were very lucky that the Howell's eye sight was as good a stevie wonder's.

India are starting to look very good there batting seems too good for Englands bowling and I think that England wont be able to win this match, it just depends is it going to be 2-0 or 1-0.

Englands third choice bowling side are as good as what India have to offer, if England do go under - it will be than India have the better batting.

India are not running away with this match just yet - 2 or 3 quick wickets on Friday will put them on the back foot, I would have thought India would have been better batting with more care.

I was seeing the match and after lunch Sidebottom was bowling round the wicket and that was surprising to me because his bowl sping towards the right hander bat and when he was bowling round the wicket his bowls were going down the leg side. I was confused why he is going round the wicket. On the other hand Zaheer Khan has an advantage of bowling round the wicket because his bowls goes away from right hand bat.

Kumble is the difference between the two bowling line ups, plus there is more experience in the Indian bowling line up

NE, how do you explain Pietersens decision when he was wrongfully allowed back on the field. We did not see you complaining then.
Decisions go both ways, LBWs and catches behind the wickets are both likely to go either way.

I didn't comment on the KP incident in the first Test as I was out of the country for the last two days of the Lord's Test. Having seen it the other day I am quite amazed. Surely when the umpire sticks his finger up and gives you out then you go? Having set that precedent I don't understand why Ganguly wasn't told (by his team mates) to turn around yesterday. All quite ridiculous IMO.

The umpiring in this short series has been very mixed, some top decisions along with some very basic errors.

Now this is quite amusing. A South African accusing the english of always moaning and backing up an Indian supporter who has moaned about dodgy decisions since the series started!

Gooch was complaining about us dropping a catch at a crucial part of the game (there's nothing wrong with criticising your own team). Is it a surprise that a British radio programme would concentrate on what we've done? I can't imagine Indian radio commentary being any less one-eyed, and I know for sure that the South African coverage is never anything short of partizan!
