| Huh, that was a breathtaking innings from Dhoni. But yet again an Indian batsman gets out just short of a century. India comfortably placed now at 508. Hope the tail adds some quick useful runs.

| Strange looking card which shows India on 527-7, and no batsman has got a hundred, well I can't see England squaring the series from this position. If it's the pitch - then England should be able to bat for a drraw with ease.

| Kumble and co are running the ball around tiring the England fieldsmen. Good ploy. Might help to get a few wickets later today. |

| England werent going to be squaring the series from the end of the 1st day. I think moores will have some very tough choices to make at the end of this test. Prior yes or no. Obvious choice would be no, and bring in read but then you'll end up with 7,8,9,10,11 who cant bat with any kind of confidence. Couple that with the king of the waves, fredelo who hasnt played cricket for months more than likely coming in at 6, you have 6,7,8,9,10,11 who wouldnt last long on a pitch that isnt anything but a road and/or WI class opposition. What we need it a top 6 who can bat properly AT THE SAME TIME rather than one or two successes with the rest failing. Then you can afford to have bowlers who cant bat and keeper who can fiddle a run or two at best. Makes you hanker for those days when we had stewart behind the stumps. Yes he didnt create many chances but took most and could bat pretty well (as long as it wasnt turning)

| God this is frustrating, seeing the tail enders chipping away more runs and the series vanish. Botham said a little while ago about there being no point in using it time, to score runs quickly and get England out there. Er, you know it's India batting here Beefy, not England... ?! |

| I don't think the English supporters should be too disheartened at this stage. You never know in cricket. Remember the Adelaide test in the Ashes series just gone? England made 500+ in the first innings and still lost the match. You never know..... |

| And that was a match that never never should have been lost. Actually, that got way from us due to a dropped catch as well didnt it ?

| Johnny Extras has just become the seventh man in Inida's innings to reach 50 runs. Well done, Mr Extras. |

| England have a problem here. The way Tremlett is forced to being overbowled, what shape will he be for India's second innings (assuming there is one, of course |
