Naturally! Every other Notts bowler seems to be injured at present so no ereason why Sid shouldn't join the club.

Anderson has four wickets now. He's bowled absolute rubbish though!

Yes, but I think all the bowlers have been ragged this afternoon, they're bowling shorter and wider, they're clearly tired and to be honest look resigned to the fact that the match has gone, the fact that the tail enders continue to whack fours is making it worse. To add to that England will probably be batting tonight for a nasty hour and will do very well to not lose any wickets considering the situation.

Remember it Nostro?!! I'm still having therapy for it! Worringly for England the ball which Zaheer was out to went through the top, maybe Kumble to get 100 and 10 in the game which I think I'm right in saying has only been done once?

Well played Anil Kumble, a thoroughly deserved 100 and now 8 out of the 10 partnerships are 50 or above. The only way I see England winning the game now is if we are forced to follow on and then get India on a last day pitch. The 2 main problems with this is that the Oval tends not to deteriorate too much and considering the series score would Dravid enforce it anyway?

I'd like to ask the Indian fans if, given the choice, they would rather win the test or the ODI series?

Well done Kumble,a superb effort and the icing on the cake for a great career from one of the good guys.

We will do well to save this as we must be totally demoralised.

Kumble scoring a century, Sreesanth hitting 3 fours in one over off Anderson and 50+ partnership for the last wicket....how much more ridiculous can it get? Vaughan might consider going AWOL to the South Seas on the next plane.

At least one good think should come out of this for England Rich - there now HAS to be a review of the Engand team, this England side is just not good enough to copete in world cricket - i think some people got carried away after beating a hapless West Indies, not more so than the selectors.

PS: I think this bowling performance proves once and for all - England need a 5 man bowling attack, if Flintoff gets fit then easy, if not 4 bowlers can't do the job.

Also England need Read, so the batting will have to be strengthened.

India made the most of the good conditions, but pitches like this are not a good contest between bat and ball and boring cricket is the result.
