England v India - 3rd Test The Brit Oval,9th August - 13th August

Play starts at 11am.

Can England square the series against India?, they will have to play much better than they did in the 2nd Test, and India will be full of confidence.

Pietersen has been declared fit to play click here , but the other batsmen need to make some large scores.

As for India a draw is fine, I doubt we will see their batsmen taking any risks - the pressure is on England to win.

Can England square the series?.

Please post you pre match, and match comments on this thread.

Thank's.

England will have to keep the weather forecast in the back of their minds - it isn't looking too promising for Sunday particularly, but Monday isn't great either.

IMO, this match is India's to lose. If India play sensibly enough, the draw they need will come quite easily.

Playing for a draw is a risky business and India have never really been good at it. I think that we should play to win the match and win the series 2-0. It will be good for the likes of Tendulkar, Kumble, Ganguly & Dravid to finish here on a winning note.

Dravid wins the toss and unsurprisingly doesn't try a repeat of the Mumbai experiment of a couple of years ago and bats first. You kind of knew when Vaughan was winning all those irrelevant tosses against the West Indies that when it really mattered against a half decent side his luck would desert him. Golden opportunity for the so called galacticos on their final test in England (probably) to win the series for India and bat England out of the game in their first innings.

Apparently Anderson has started very badly, three fours and a six in his first three overs!

Anderson is talented, but comes across as not a very bright man. He often tries too hard and end up bowling badly rather than weigh-up the opposition. There is not much variety to his bowling and depending on the conditions it may or may not work. He is the kind of bowler to whom the opposition can get used to and predict.

Anderson has bowled garbage and is bowling his way to a winter off.

India won a good toss and are cashing in on a great pitch to bat on.Series over if they keep their heads.

I'm disappointed they have produced a good batting pitch. I would have thought it was in our interests to have prepared a pitch that would see a result in four days. What's the point in having home advantage if you don't use it?

Absolutely none NE.

Anderson is a frustration, just picked up a great wicket bowling Dravid for 55 but i bet he feeds a load of half volleys to Tendulkar to get him going.

He has the ability to be the best bowler in the country IMO. He just doesn't show it often enough.

If Sid bowls well and keeps the pressure on, as he did the over before Jimmy got the wicket, then we might be ok.
