Has Warne retired forever ?

I dunno (dont know)
I dont think it will hinder Australia's future spin development if Shane kicks on through to the next World Cup.
We just dont seem to have anyone coming through at the moment anyway, it would be more of a case of someone getting an undeserving spot rather than a young challenger rightfully challenging for it.
After earlier being a fatty in his younger days and even though he enjoys a smoke, Warnie appears to keep himself in remarkable physical shape.
I dont know how his fingers or shoulder feels, but to me he looks like he has still got a fair bit left in him.
My veiw after the 20/20 championships and World cup. I would like to see him continue in both or the three forms of the game for a bit longer yet.
Come back Shane.....please...

Forget it - he is happy making a buck in County Cricket, I bet he has had enough of hopping round the World.

I would say that Warne playing for OZ again - is as likely as Flintoff captaining the England side again (even though he wants to).

Except maybe to India to play in the breakaway comp.

But i agree with Ern - Warne has played his last game for Australia. I will miss watching him play, but by the same token, i am looking forward to watching us play during the rebuilding period. We don't need Warne to continue dominating the game. The great West Indian team of the 80's got by without a leg spinner and (hopefully) Australia will too.
