| Correct, he went into hospital with a stomach complaint, I think.

| 264-7d Kallis 100* Well done Kallis on scoring centuries in both innings,a fantastic performance and a perfect reply from him after being left out of the Twenty20 squad. All eyes on Harris now. |

| Very harsh,he scored at exactly the same rate as the innings run rate so it wasn't as if he slowed the team down and was just playing for himself, there was plenty of time for him to just bat normally and that is what he seems to have done. The fact he got only 4 4's and 1 6 tells you that scoring boundaries wasn't easy with the defensive fields set. | Some fireworks from Younus Khan in the final session has left open a very intrigueing final day. If Pakistan had the firepower of messers Inzy and MoYo still waiting in the pavilion then I think Smith would be having a sleepless night. As it is they're still only a couple of wickets in the morning session from wrapping the game up and unless Harris folds under the pressure of being the match winner Pakistan's lack of quality in the batting will cost them. (Quick night watchmen rant what on earth is the point of gifting South Africa a gimme wicket in Asif?) |

| This comment is either a joke or............. There is a limit to no-brainerness and I think this has just passed it. Kallis played superbly under difficult conditions and considering how South Africa can fold under pressure, they can do with a lot more of his "selfishness" |

| Well at lunch on day 5 Pakistan are 230-5. Younis got 126 but the match is interestingly poised,a good session by Pakistan now will have South Africa sweating a bit. |

| Pakistan are 242/7 with only Malik left as a reasonable batsman. Just 13 runs added in 10 overs since lunch. SA have gone about this well on the 5th morning after Younis Khan's counterattack yesterday. The plan was obviously to try and restrict the Pakistani batsmen to start with and then, after a Pak victory seemed remote, to go on the attack. So far, it seems to have worked and it remains to be seen if SA can now finish this off. Last edited by Nostromo : 05-10-2007 at 09:16 AM. |

| Well a win away from home. Where we be without the big man? On cricinfo site they call his innings watertight.

| This may not be much of a Pakistan side but credit to South Africa on a thoroughly proffesional performance with Kallis once again the standout and if ever the old adage "it's better to be lucky than good" applied to anyone it's Mickey Arthur. Good to see the ever improving Dale Steyn do the bulk of the damage as he was the model overseas pro for us and he's easily the most compelling component in an otherwise pretty sterile one dimensional Saffer attack. And Paul Harris once again shows that give him a total to work with (something that never happened at Edgebaston this season Unsurprisingly Pakistan have reacted by recalling the big guns Inzy and MoYo for the final test. |
