Big bovver aussie boys theaten ashes again

The big tonkers Hayden and Symonds must loom up larger than life again on England for the next ashes series.
With Gilly and Ponting likely to be still batting on during it, the big fella's Haydo and Symonds still will plunder and smash the medium pace English plonkers and spinners to parts unseen by cricket ball's outside of stadiums.
Window's, cars, people ..will all be in danger.
I love the way these two are going about their cricket at the moment. We are big we hit hard and we will hit.
Bring on the ashes...

'Strewth, Acker! Nothing like building things up well in advance! Just under two years to go - but thanks for opening one of the earliest "Pre-series threads" we've ever had at WAT!

Right up until we miss.... after which we'll retreat to the pavillion and (if we're lucky) make way for someone who isn't a front foot bully who can show us how the type of delivery that stuffed us SHOULD have been played (or perhaps, shock horror, left).

Nice one. The Aussies do seem to have it worked out. Each time I expect them to go downhill a couple of them hit peak form. The Aussies go the way of WI? Unlikely.

I expect so, but it might be things more exotic than casseroles. Apparently, he is a gourmet chef and has even written a reciepe book.

One of these days Rachel, you should take the time to actually watch Hayden play

Yes Acker, it seems Australia's fall from grace with the retirement of the boys from "dad's army" is not coming to pass. We definately have the batsman and will do in two years time. We have the fast bowlers and will do in two years time. The question is our spinning stocks. I think Brad Hogg is seriously laying claims to the test team with his high accuracy and unpickable wrong un.

I am very much looking forward to watching Aus play during the "rebuilding period"

Nah, she's right. Although I think Rachael gives Hayden too little credit, the fact is that in a test match there's no need to go after every ball. Calculated aggression is one thing, pointless aggression is another.
