Another bad decision to go with Bopara's and Sidebottom's walking back. Down to Monty now.

What an absolutely terrible decision to give Sidebottom out lbw, awful decision.

If that had been an Aussie giving an Asian player out and giving England the decision then certain people would be playing the race card.

What a shame such a brilliant game has such a poor decision in it at the end,it was to be fair one of the few poor decisions in the match as both umpires had done well up till then.

Bopara's was not a bad decision according to most commentators, but Sidebottom's certainly was.

Incidentally, if it had been anyone else but Hoggard that called for physio treatment at this stage of the game, people would have cried gamesmanship, but not with him.

At least with Hoggard we know it is a genuine injury and not a made up one to waste time.He is bound to milk it but all sides try and waste time when they are in this situation, sadly nothing gets done about it.

Apparently (and I have heard and read this many times when my team gets bad decision after bad decision) these things even themselves out.

Exactly Ninjaman,i won't moan about the decision.I just think it is a shame after such a great game that some will inevitably use it as an excuse.

For me this has been a brilliant test match, certainly more entertaining than any one day game can ever be and cricket has been the winner not just Sri Lanka.

They do over time, I think. Not over a series though.

Sangakkara's been the difference here, in a big way.

Great victory by Sri Lanka and a fitting way for Jayasuriya to bow out but you doubt whether England will be able to come back as Hoggard doesn't look like he has a prayer of being fit for the next game and without him our attack looks ordinary.

Sangakkara put in a great performance and deserves to be in a winning side.Bell did all he could and is unlucky to be a loser, just a shame more of his teammates couldn't have applied themselves as well as he did.

For me that is the best test match i have seen since the Edgbaston ashes match.

I don't think Hoggard would even 'milk' it. He is a true sportsman and even his Radio comments are always scrupulously fair to all sides and all players.

Well played SL, but again cricket the winner. if england had to lose at least it gave jayasuria the chance to quit test cricket with a win.
