Yes the umpiring was bad. very bad unfortunately.

However as I've said. India now have the opportunity to prove what they are made of. Come back and give it to Australia.

The only way to do that (as history shows) is to play tough, positive, aggressive cricket.

Aggressive, pre-planned, field placings (re: England 2005). Positive batting with solid run rates. Aggressive bowling to pre game plans for each batsman.

If they don't do the above, Australia will crush them in the last two tests I'm sorry to say.

We would lose 3 wickets an over if all "honest guy" Anil Kumble's appeals were given out.

Lol.

Yeah Kumble's appealing in the second innings in Melbourne !!

Maybe only one team was playing in the "Spirit of the game" then also

I think he lost his voice in the end.

The lasting memory that I will have from this test match will be of Ishant Sharma with his bat on his shoulder standing and staring down the wicket at Anil Kumble (non-striker) and eventualy the umpire with his finger up. About 20 seconds after the Australians had started their whirling derbish style celebration.

Poor old Ishant had just edged Michael Clarke to the second slip side of first slip and been caught at about waist height. He almost walked but then caught Kumble's glare and thought better of it.

Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place. I felt more sorry for Ishant than anyone else out there.

That was pure Gold. The Camera stayed on him for 'ages'.

The other memory in the last few minutes was the poor time wasting attempt by the Indians when (having already taken too long) Sharma finds out he has 2 RH gloves

BTW I think the celebrations and fist pumping by the Aussies was the icing on Kumbles "spirit of the game" cake. His skin must have been crawling and the pit of his stomach would have felt like it was full of cement.

I almost forgot about him grabbing the wrong gloves

His game without getting a wicket (except for Symonds nick that was not given) was almost as eventful as Michael Clarke's who did not score a run.

He might not have starred with the ball, but he will star on the test highlights footage.

Running in and not bowling the ball three times in a row, getting the Symonds nick then the disappointment of no umpires finger, misfielding a ball that spun away from him, hitting 5 fours in his 23 runs, falling over and tumbling after bowling a ball, taking the wrong glove out to the crease and being the victim of Michael Clarke that won Australia the test match.

The 19 year old will sure have a big story to tell his friends and family in India about this match.

The idea of a No Result due to bad umpiring is a joke. More mistakes were made by the players than the umpires in every test match but a couple of bad decisions and the are now called cheats. You have a West Indian and an Englishman umpiring why would they plan on favouring Australia. I think that India need to have a look at themselves are take the good with the bad because if it happened to Australia they would have taken it on the chin because India did not deserve to win this test and they wont win one. I do suppose that 3 loses and a draw looks better than 0-4 for the Indians. Tait (155 -160), Lee (150 - 160,) Johnson (145 - 158) and Clark who looks to be about 6-6 or 6-7 at the WACA on a bouncy fast wicket with an angry Australian side. Look out India
