Australia 6/153 right now and in a bit of bother. I hope the Indian bowlers do not let the Australian tail get away from here, as has often happened in the past.

Well I think you got your wish Kasamse: Australia are now 154-6, a scorecard I find incredible.

What a turn round in the Indian fortunes, I wonder how the Aussie bowlers will respond when it's their turn to bowl.

I would not call it a "turn round" as yet - it is only the second session on Day 1 and the Aussie bowlers are yet to bowl. At the MCG, Indian batsmen lost the match for India.

Symonds and Hogg are batting very well and I will not be surprised if they take the match away from the Indians.

Well Aussie on 190-6, so making some kind of fightback - these two realy have to build a partnership - and with Symonds anything is possible.

Did Aussie win the toss and elect to bat, after the first test I would have been inclined to insert India, and rack up the pressure.

PS: Aussie did win the toss and elect to bat, I suppose if Aussie get to 300 from here - that decission will be vindicated,

SYmonds has been given not out to a nick that would have been heard at the WACA, except that Buckner did not hear it at the SCG. This will remain as the crucial juncture in this test match. I believe it is time for Bucknor to go - he has been making a lot of mistakes lately, much more than is expected of an umpire at international level.

India are maintaining their poor record against the tailender batsmen of the opposition team. The Indians seem to have given up after the poor decision by Bucknor against Symonds.

Thanks to the umpires, the match is now almost lost for India.

How can a match be lost in the third session of the first day when the opposition has already lost six wickets? Still a long way to go. Also, one wrong umpiring decision (and another close call) over the course of almost a day, though unfortunate, hardly qualifies as an umpiring nightmare - I am sure we have both seen much worse.

307/6 now. I guess you can say that again. Looks like it might be a while before the Aussie bowlers have to respond.

I agree with you Maranello, but some people only 'see' the marginal decisions that they want to see. That is why I feel that available technology should be properly and completely introduced into the game. No point in having it in bits and pieces, leaving room for everyone to make predictions on what might have been.
