I have to agree that the Indians have been at the receving end of umpiring blunders in this test match. |

This piece of commentary from Cricinfo.com - The Home of Cricket: Harbhajan Singh to Symonds, no run, that took off, like an airplane or worse, Symonds came down the track to hit it out of the SCG, the ball bounced almost vertically off the pitch and went straight to Dravid at first slip. It will be difficult for India to chase anything in excess of 200 on this pitch. |

Give it up Kasamse. Just imagine if every test thread in this forum was filled with whinging b*ll**** about umpires. You are not just whinging now either, you are now degenerating into vague conspiracy theories. Hear any Aussie lamenting the let-offs Dravid, Laxman and Tendulkar recieved early in their innings? The Indians were not good enough to knock over the Aussie tailenders cheaply, the Aussies were not good enough to knock over the Indian tailenders cheaply, so now we have a situation that unless Ponting is feeling charitable, the game will end up a draw. Thats cricket

| Its a very interesting situation. Ponting has a tough decision to make. He cant make an early declaration as he will risk losing the match especially after India's batting in the first innings. He can even think go for a draw as that will break the row of victories for Australia. I think 300 will be a safe lead for Australia and I am sure they will try to fire their way there so that they could declare early enough to pick up 10 wickets. Tomorrow will be interesting.

Which let-offs are you talking about? I certainly did not see any reprives given by the umpires to these batsmen. The same Bill Lawry said that English umpires would have given SYmonds out LBW first ball in the second innings! And Hussey was clearly out in everyone's opinion. |

| i think your being a little harsh pal. Django's quote about "It will be difficult for India to chase anything in excess of 200 on this pitch" is based on the information mentioned in the rest of his reply. i.e. from Cricinfo.com |

Unless Ponting does something stupid, such as declaring early, this test id finished. India have toiled for 100+ overs with the mere returns of 4 wickets. Australia should set them 400 to chase off 50 overs or something. Then we can move on to the fast, bouncy, cracked WACA wicket. And unleash Tait.

I cannot help but write again that If India loses this match, it will be purely due to Umpires. I strongly believe that ICC should nullify the result of this match if Australia go on to win this match. In the first innings Symonds added extra 130 for himself and about 250 to the Australian total. In the second innings Hussey not only added about 105 for himself, but saved Australia from trouble (at the time Australia were about 130 odd for 2 and in some trouble). Even Symonds should have been out first ball in the second innings. |
