Unfortunately if they deserved a draw, they would have got one !

It all boiled down to the last 3 overs. 3 wickets, eighteen balls to go.

If India were good enough they would have drawn the game.

Perhaps the umpires had something to do with it hey ?

OMG....what a favor from you and the umpires. What a slice of justice there.

Hi Friends
i've been using this forum for quite some time and its very rare to find such insulting comments from forum members about the opposition team
this forum is built on mutual respect from members of different countries for their opposition
sad that these days many members just don't wanna appreciate the losing team's display of hard work, professionalism or spirit
i am an indian i too fell bad for india's loss ,i hope this loss will make them more stronger and tougher to beat in the next match(if they manage to a draw on perth wicket that will be sweet victory)
hope you guys stop creating another flame war here

Well it's a two way street batoutofhell. I've gone through this entire thread and i can not find one positive comment about any of the Australian's efforts during this test. Not one.

But i can find a few positive comments from Aussie members about certain Indians performances. Have a look and see for yourself.

It's not the Aussie flaming anyone here (in this thread anyway - the harbhijan thread is another matter). It's the Indians flaming the umpires and the Aussie players.

That said, guys like you and a few other Indian members have been fairly calm and objective about all this.

The umpiring standard was not high, but if you have been watching cricket for any length of time at all, you'd have seen at least ten Tests where it was worse. At the end of the day it is, pardon the cliche, part of the game. Are you suggesting foul play? Seems a touch melodramatic, and I think it's the typical response of Indian cricket to take the most melodramatic response possible.

And a guy who got two ducks and is in the team as a batsmen, takes 3 wickets in 5 ball's.

I notice you are not pointing your finger at Harbajan Singh, RP Singh or Sharma. The Indian trio that failed to negotiate 5 ball's nor the probable 2 other overs if one of them had of stayed in.

I hope you do not reflect the spirit of other Indian supporters with your "sour grapes" dummy spit.

The last three need not to have to bat at all if the umpires had not made any errors. Every time India fought back, the umpires took the match away from them. How can you say that it is the case of "sour grapes"?

Steve Bucknor and Mark Benson got it wrong more than ten times and almost all were ruled against India. Andrew Symonds, centurion in the first innings, got at least three lives, one inferred by the TV umpire. Symonds himself admitted of being out at the score of 30. Skipper Ricky Ponting got two lives. Similarly, in the second innings Michael Hussey got thick edge of RP Singh before Dhoni caught it but Mr. Bucknor thought otherwise. SYmonds was out to the first ball in the second innings but was given not out.

Umpiring was equally horrendous during India's batting. Wasim Jaffer was given out in the first innings off a no ball. In the second innings, Steve 'Slow Death' Bucknor lifted his index finger when the ball caught behind was clearly deflected of Rahul Dravid's pad. Mark Benson then asked Ganguly to leave as Michael Clarke caught him off Lee's delivery in slips. The TV replays showed Clarke didn't collect the ball neatly. Even if one ignored this, nobody could overlook Clarke's followthrough. He didn't complete the catch as the ball touched the ground as fell and rolled.

It seemed Team India is up against two teams, Australia and the Umpires. Had umpiring been upto the mark, the Border-Gavaskar series might have been levelled in Sydney.

Again, what are you suggesting? "Against the umpires", you think this is deliberate, what?

.
If it was not for the umpires, was any performance from the Australian team even worth mentioning? SYmonds scored 132 in the first innings because of the umpires and 63 in the second innings because of the umpires. Hussey scored about 105 runs more with the help of the umpires. Hayden would not have scored a century if wickets had kept on falling at the other end.

The Indians were playing against 13 men.

Crossed a line Kasamse. You had them 6/134, and let them score 463 - that's pathetic, I don't care who is umpiring. You scored 532 and lost a Test match, also pathetic. I'm not saying India didn't play some good cricket, but you let Australia get away. Four Australians were given out lbw in the first innings, a very high amount. Things may not have gone smoothly umpiring wise, but your suggestion of bribary or bias is way out of line.
