Cricket Australia and BCCI have both denied the tour has been called off or that there was any plan to do that.

As with a lot of news stories, you pay your money and take your choice. The BBC maintains its report (timed at 1052 GMT 7.1.08) that the tour has been suspended. In the sense that the players are in Sydney and have not moved onto Canberra as planned, that is factually correct, I guess. The BBC further reports that a decision will be made at 2000 GMT 7.1.08 (0700 AEST 8.1.08) as to when the team will leave Sydney.

For sure I hope that they will move on in time to meet their next commitment in Canberra on the 10th. However, it seems to me that the Indian team and board cannot complain about people reporting the tour's suspension when the one thing they are palpably not doing right now is touring.
