Australians had not Spirit ?

Unfortunately even after an Opposing captain has openly said 'Australians were not playing in the right spirit' hardly any of the ex-australian cricketers have come out and openly criticised Kumble for his remarks.

Unlike ex-indian cricketers who have repeated Kumble's criticism.

Should this be treated as evidence that experts agree with Kumble?

I would however be interested to see what somebody like Clive Lloyd or Richard Hadlee thought about what went on,their opinions i might take as being more credible.

That's true. But I have certainly noticed the lack of support from ex-australian greats who normally dont hold back in their support.
Even the loud media hasnt really been that loud on this ocassion which is not a good sign for Ponting.
