This series has shown that cricket is way out of control IMO, and the ICC should get their act together to make sure the events of 2006 (England) and 2008 (Australia) never happen again. LINK: Brad Hogg charged with offence under ICC’s Code of Conduct | ICC Cricket News

| Great move India But it is not like for like, because their is nothing racist in that remark. But hey if it keep's their fans at home happy and helps draw attention away from the fact that the Indian test team is losing matches. Who cares. As long as Anil Kumble and the Indian side can keep coming up with distraction's, excuses, threatened tour cancelation's, etc.... They can keep losing as long as they can keep finding the excuses and keep their fans at home entertained and happy. Plus their sponsorship contracts intact. I am sick of them, I would let them go home. India will try this again on another tour in another country. I do not think this is a one off event with them. Our misfortune to host them this time, someone elses next. |

| If thats the rules so be it The Aussies should lock them selves in there hotel and not come out until its thrown out |

| C'mon guys. This is Australia we are talking about here. If he is found guilty by the match referee, Hogg and Australia will have to cop it sweet and get on with it. That has always been the Aussie way. It is important that countries like Australia set a good example, or the great game will be in a hell of a mess. And this is exactly what i suspect CA will do.

| To be honest if they kicked up a fuss nobody would blame them after the way the Indians have reacted to things.Though having said that two wrongs don't make a right so i expect CA to take what is coming. |

| Hope the match refree has good proof if he decides to punish Hogg. I would still pick him for the next game. If he is punished without proof I hope CA stands up for it's players rights. |

| Interesting comment made by Siddhartha Vaidyanathan today on crickinfo. Funnily, he had edited it since i read it 2 hours ago. This is what he said. "Indian captain Anil Kumble has revealed that he had called up Australian captain Ricky Ponting, after the third play's day of the Sydney Test, requesting him to not press the charge of racism against offspinner Harbhajan Singh. Kumble told a press conference in Canberra on Wednesday that he, as captain, offered to apologise on Harbhajan's behalf, if there was any offence caused. Ponting, Kumble said, declined the offer and said he wanted to see the process through after complaining to umpires Steve Bucknor and Mark Benson at the end of the third day's play." As i said, it has since been edited. But the comments were posted at a forum in this thread Ponting turned down apology offer - Kumble Hmmmm. Interesting.

| If Kumble told a 'Press conference' that he offered to apologise. I am sure we will have other journalists reporting this. Last edited by Ernest : 09-01-2008 at 01:51 PM. Reason: Use of full quote. |
