| What is happening at the WACA right now could be a reflection of both countires' approach to the game in recent years. India got good early wickets to cut Oz down to size at 61 for 5, but failed to sustain the momentum as Symonds and Gilchrist - evidently deciding that attack was the best form of defence - cut loose. |

My big concern is Ponting and Clarke both seem to be bogged down in a long string of mediocrity. Australia 5-148 at tea Symonds 56 Gilchrist 34 current partnership 87 at almost 7 an over. Interesting session coming up. |

| Indeed, over the next two hours Australia could either lose this game or go a long way towards winning it. There wont be a draw here the games too advanced already. |

| India in a great position here, can they finish them off this time though? Well done Kumble on 600 test wickets. |

| All out for 212 Australia in trouble. They must get out Sehweg early. |

| Well what India need is a session of Sehwag and that will give them enough runs as a tricky target already,i guess this sort of situation is made for a Dravid marathon where the rest can play round him to take them to a massive lead. |

| Sehwag might be given the licence to have a go tomorrow to see if some useful quick runs can be piled in. There is always a touch of madness to Sehwag's batting and there is the chance that it might come off for a while. But quite a few runs might be scored in that "while".... |

15 wickets in the day and a lot of variable bounce. |

| Well what a days cricket. India end on 52/1 with a lead of 170. Credit to India and Kumble for putting in an inspired performance after the incidents during the last test. Just a few comments. Tait looks to be a liability here. I think the Aussies have made a big mistake here and should have selected Hogg. On the another hand, Clarke IMO is the best fast bowler in the world currently. He has been awesome. Did you see his average 20.07. Incredible. This is the first time in a long time that the Aussie bowlers are under extreme pressure. It will be interesting to see how Johnson reacts. Australia will need him to bowl well as Tait is no good. What about Jaffer. He has failed to push on after getting numerous starts. Is it worth a gamble in playing Karthik in the final test. Also, such a big fuss was made about Yuvraj and accommodating him at the expense of the balance of the team. Do you think that this could be a reason for India being 2 down. Yuvraj should not be playing test cricket while the likes of Laxman, Tendulkar, Dravid and Ganguly are around. Lastly, remember that India's 3 strike bowlers are not even playing here. I believe that Zaheer would have made a huge difference to this Indian team. Sreesanth and Munaf could also have been useful.
