Australian and Indian teams for Adelaide (IMHO)

These are the sides I would pick for the 4th test in Adelaide looking from both sides.

India

Sehwag
Dravid
Laxman
Tendulkar
Ganguly
Dohni
Pathan
Kumble
Habarhjan
R.P.Singh
Sharma

Australia

Jaques
Hayden
Ponting
Hussey
Clarke
Symonds
Gilchrist
Lee
Johnson
Siddle ( surprise uncontracted selection ) 23 yo rfm
Clark

And I will continue my current refusal of a under performing spinner who offers no more value to the side than Clarke or Symonds do.
Bryce McGain would be the unlucky if my unswerving policy was relented.
I am looking forward to Stuart MacGill and Cameron White coming back from injury as I am also looking forward to Cullen Bailey and Daniel Cullen regaining some form.
P.S these two have to play for seperate states as one keeping the other out of the same side while both are trying to impress is ludicrous.

I would not push Dravid to opening position considering what happened last time. He looked much more comfortable at no3.

Siddle!!! Lost faith in the 'ol bruiser Tait already Acker.

I reckon they should go with the same team that won the first two tests and stop mucking around with flights of fancy. IMHO.

And i reckon that's what the selectors will do.

If they are 23 and average what their age is in Pura Cup.

Agreed, but Jaffar should be dropped forthwith. An idea is to rest Dhoni too and choose Karthik in his place and get him to open the batting with Sehwag. That way Dravid, Tendulkar, Ganguly & Laxman can follow with Pathan at No:7 and the rest as you mentioned.

As for Oz, they obviously want to replace Tait; with Lee, Clark and Johnson playing and bowling well, they might consider including a frontline spinner in Tait's place. The Symonds / (Michael) Clarke spinning combo might not always work; also, Symonds can bowl his useful medium pace should a fourth seamer be required for a change.
