Australia v India 4th test Adelaide

India have won the toss and elected to bat first. They would be disappointed at losing 2 wickets before lunch on a perfect batting strip. The remaining batsmen have to bat well and take the score to at least 500 to be competitive on this pitch.

India 2-89 Sehwag 56 no...Tendulkar 0 no

Johnson 2-33

Pathan opened with Sehwag. Pathan out for 9 Dravid out for 18.

Changes from Perth

The Indian batsmen are virtually gifting their wickets away on a batting paradise. Right now it is 4/156 and it appears that India are going to struggle to reach even 250. On such a benign strip, I wonder what the Aussie batsmen will score - 700!!

After the unexpected win at the WACA, I suppose it is back to reality for the Indians!!

I cannot imagine the Indian bowlers dismissing the Aussie batsmen as they did at the WACA, in the first innings.

Johnson is swinging the ball, so fingers crossed Pathan & co. will hopefully do the same.

Ganguly got a dodgy decision once again!

But the Aussies appear to be more than determined on the field and this match may well turn out to be as interesting as the one at the WACA. The onus is on the Indians now...

Someone told me that Sehwag got out to a no-ball....is that true?

4-187 at Tea

As for Ganguly's LBW decision: the only issue I have with the umpire is that he was a long way down the crease.
2.57 metres in front of the stumps according to the channel 9 telecast.
The ball definitely hit his pads before his gloves though.
But 2.57 metres from the stumps is what I would define as being to far forward of the wicket to be giving LB's.

Hogg's economy rate is not looking good at 4.06. He just gave away 18 runs in an over. Even Lee has an economy rate of 3.61. They are scoring at a good pace at 3.79. Laxman just got a life....dropped off Lee.

India are 275 for 4 with Tendulkar past 100. Thanks Django! If your Oz score prediction shows the same inverse truth, they may be following-on!
